We are so excited for our Fall Community Day! Join us at Surf Point on Saturday, Oct. 26, 2024 from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. for a day highlighting Surf Point’s historic legacy and site with alumni led programs:
-Art historian, independent curator and scholar Olga Herrera ‘22 will speak about her years-long work mining the Surf Point archives and what she has learned about Surf Point’s founders Beverly Hallam and Mary-Leigh Call Smart.
-Artist iliana emilia García ‘22 will lead an all-ages monoprint workshop in the Beverly Hallam Studio.
-Carly Glovinski ‘21 will offer a plant sale of freshly divided perennials grown with love at the Wild Knoll Foundation Garden. From our garden to yours, come by to grab: columbines, irises, alliums, day-lilies, astilbes, bee balm, sundrops, coreopsis, Canadian anemone, walking onion bulbs and more!
Other highlights: -Explore Surf Point’s studios and living spaces, meticulously planned by co-founders Mary-Leigh Call Smart and Beverly Hallam -Self-guided tours of the Wild-Knoll Foundation Garden -Dogs welcome (on a leash and outside only) -Buy merch and alum editions! -Walk the trails on our 46-acre property -Explore tidal pools on the oceanfront -Visit Buoy Gallery, Corey Daniels Gallery, and the Ogunquit Museum of American Art, and make a day of it!
Community Days are open and free to the public; please register now through the ticketing link! Address will be emailed with registration confirmation. Surf Point can host these programs thanks to small-dollar donations from the public.
