Walk with Washington
Description
Walk in the footsteps of our nation’s first President. See the Portsmouth locations he visited in 1789. Hear about where he had tea with his secretary’s mother, Mrs. Lear; attended services at St. John’s Church; and was feted in a reception at Governor (then Senate President) John Langdon’s house. The tour begins and ends at Langdon House, which Washington thought “may be esteemed the first in Portsmouth.”
Your ticket is good for 50% off the cost of a guided tour of Langdon House on the same day or any other day the house is open in 2019.
