GREENLAND - On Thursday, Oct. 9, 2025, Lovering Health Center will bring together advocates, supporters, and community partners at the historic Portsmouth Music Hall for Cheers for Choice, an evening of storytelling, solidarity, and celebration. The event will feature a networking reception and a screening of the acclaimed documentary No One Asked You.
 
Attendees will come together in support of inclusive, trauma-informed, and compassionate sexual and reproductive health care across the Seacoast and beyond.
 
The evening will include:

• Conversations about equity, access, and the future of care
• Opportunities to support Lovering’s mission through on-site fundraising
• On-screen acknowledgements of sponsors and supporters

 
“Cheers for Choice isn’t just a celebration. It’s a statement,” said Cybele Grier, Board Chair. “We’re standing up for reproductive freedom, equity, and the right to compassionate care. In a time when access is being stripped away across the country, this event reaffirms that our community believes in choice, and we’re not backing down.”
 
“This event embodies what Lovering stands for - courage, care, and community,” said Lindsay Goodspeed, Board Vice Chair.
 
One patient, who asked to remain anonymous, shared: “Lovering gave me care when I felt like I had no options. They treated me like a whole person, not a problem to be solved. I’ll never forget that.”

Donations can also be made through the event page. Sponsorship opportunities are available, with recognition throughout the evening, demonstrating visible commitment to health equity and human rights.
 
Since 1980, Lovering Health Center has served individuals across New Hampshire, Maine, and Massachusetts with services including abortion care, vasectomy care, birth control, STI testing, gender-affirming care, and more. This event reaffirms that our community believes in choice and bodily autonomy. Proceeds from the event will support its sliding-scale, barrier-free care, with a focus on access for LGBTQ+ individuals, BIPOC communities, youth, and low-income patients.
