  • Summer Farmers’ Market Season is Here! -- Portsmouth opens May 4

LEE – Seacoast Eat Local is proud to announce that May 2 is the official start of our highly anticipated summer farmers' markets. From May to October, residents and visitors are invited to shop at our outdoor markets in Exeter, Portsmouth, Durham, and Dover. Whether you're seeking fresh produce, vibrant flowers, just-caught seafood, artisanal baked goods, and delectable prepared foods, our markets offer something for everyone. We also offer pantry essentials such as oils, honey, maple syrup, dairy, and meats.

As always we will have live music at each market, enriching the experience for all who attend. We are even adding a few DJs into the mix! Bop around and visit our local artisans and area non-profits showcasing their work. Special events such as Eco Day and the Pumpkin Smash will punctuate the season, providing opportunities for community engagement.

All markets also offer Granite State Market Match to SNAP recipients. For every $1 spent on an EBT card, a $1 in fruit and vegetable coupons is given to the shopper. This gives them double the buying power and puts even more money back into the pockets of local farmers. To learn more about this program, stop by the information tent at each market.
