PORTSMOUTH – The New Hampshire Art Association is accepting online submissions June 1 through June 22, by 5 p.m., for the 41st annual Jack Parfitt open juried photography exhibition. The exhibit is open to NHAA members and area artists, and works chosen will be on display at the Robert Lincoln Levy Gallery from Aug. 5 through Aug. 29. One or two pieces can be submitted. PORTSMOUTH – The New Hampshire Art Association will be holding a “Body of Work: Series I” exhibition during the month of June at the Robert Lincoln Levy Gallery on State Street. NHAA holds several “Body of Work” shows throughout the year to give its members an opportunity to show a grouping of their works as opposed to having one piece getting lost hanging among many other artists’ works. Thursday, May 28, 2020Tolson Silent Auction resumes June 5 at NHAA
PORTSMOUTH – More than 80 pieces of work by the late artist Ann Tolson will be on view during a silent auction in June at the New Hampshire Art Association’s Robert Lincoln Gallery. The auction exhibit was installed for March, when the gallery had to close mid-month due to the coronavirus and orders under Gov. John Sununu to close nonessential businesses. PORTSMOUTH – The New Hampshire Art Association is offering the second in a series of workshops to help artists learn the business side of art. These will take place during Zoom meetings online. “Demystifying the Business of Art,” taught by Attorney Kimberly A.W, Peaslee, an Intellectual Property Attorney with the Concord law firm Davis & Bujold, will be presented on Thursday, June 4, from noon to 1:30 p.m. Space size is limited to 12 participants and those pre-registered by June 2 will receive a Zoom link
