The event also incorporates the 5th Annual Children's Book Festival\, featuring 20+ local authors and illustrators in the TYCO Visitors Center 11:00 am to 3:00 pm. This year's event celebrates the 40th anniversary of the 'Ox-Cart Man' written by Donald Hall and illustrated by Barbara Cooney. The book tells the story of an early-19th-century farmer in New Hampshire\, who uses an ox-cart to transport family-made goods to Portsmouth\, New Hampshire. In addition\, Fall Festival welcomes NorthEast Seacoast Unit - Herb Society of America\, making sachets & tussie mussies\; the NH Wheelmen\, antique bicycle demonstration\; Seacoast Modern Quilt Guild's exhibit of newly-made quilts and Slow Food Seacoast with an heirloom seed share.
