DESCRIPTION:Painting Poetry at Laney & Lu\n\nWed.\, March 18   Drop in anytime between 6 9 p.m.\n\nLaney & Lu\, 360 Route 1 Bypass\, Portsmouth\n\n$5 $10 suggested donation\n\nCreate art and share your words at Painting Poetry   an evening of open mic poetry and live\, improv painting inspired by the spoken word\, all supporting the Portsmouth Poet Laureate Program.\n\nYou're welcome to stay for the full evening or simply drop in for part of it. A shared canvas (or two!) will be available for anyone who feels inspired to paint while the poetry unfolds.\n\nFeatured reader\n\nElizabeth S. Wolf has published six books\, including Parenting in the Age of Columbine (2025). Her Did You Know? won the 2018 Rattle Chapbook Prize\, and her work has been read at the White House\, the U.S. Supreme Court\, and the U.S. Capitol through The Scheherazade Project   and even traveled to the moon with the Lunar Codex.\n\n\n\nFeatured Reader\n\nThe Famous Joanne Jackson from Hampton is a very small (only 5'4") At-Large Board Member for The Poetry Society of New Hampshire and  wait for it  the eventual host of The Poetry Show (on the radio) every TBD on WSCA-FM 106.1 or streaming at WSCAFM.org.
