DESCRIPTION:Portsmouth will be celebrating 400 years in 2023. Through a partnership with the City of Portsmouth\, Portsmouth Historical Society will convene city-wide ideas and projects that are imagined and executed by people and organizations in our community. We want to make Portsmouth the best it can be by offering a variety of multi-year projects and programming - including signature and legacy events that are celebrated\, but do not necessarily end in 2023. These next four years will focus on inspiring the community to find ways to both preserve our history and culture\, and imagine our future. We want full community participation. We are in the initial stages of planning and want your help. We invite you to attend a public input session to share your thoughts.
