DESCRIPTION:The Gateway Gallery at Great Bay Community College is pleased to feature the work of local photographer Scott Estey from December 9th to February 14\, 2020. The exhibition titled "Polar Opposites" is the culmination of 3 years of expeditions to some of the most remote and physically challenging landscapes on earth   the North and South Poles. Estey immerses the viewer into the desolate beauty\, stunning colors\, rich wildlife and stark reality facing the ends of the earth. Today\, Estey works in high tech but uses photography to portray an intentional relationship with nature\, inviting the viewer to reflect on their own relationship with the natural world and to consider the threat of sweeping global environmental change. The public is invited to a free reception on Wednesday\, December 11th from 5-7 PM. Light refreshments will be provided by the Green Bean Restaurant.
