Description
This workshop will focus on the fundamentals of the Standard British (Received Pronunciation) dialect for the stage. Participants will learn about the physical shifts, musicality and key sounds that help establish and maintain an authentic British dialect. Aimee Blesing is an actor, director, singer and dialect coach. She is a Certified Trainer of Lessac Kinesensic Voice and Body Training and is a Senior Lecturer in acting, voice and movement at the University of New Hampshire. Aimee has worked with performers and non-performers in Australia and the USA to help them feel a more authentic, dynamic and expressive connection to their voice and speech. She has a special interest in dialects for the stage and screen and has been coaching productions and teaching dialect acquisition to actors for 15 years.
