Join the Gundalow for the Round Island Regatta

Celebrate Portsmouth’s maritime tradition by taking part in the seventh annual Round Island Regatta! Launching from the Peirce Island Boat Ramp, racers will circle around Round Island. Last year saw sailboats such as Merrymac and Frosties, rowboats including Piscataqua Wherries, single and double kayaks, canoes, stand up paddleboards, and windsurfers. Spectators are welcome along the banks of the Back Channel, and commentary will be provided near the boat ramp on Peirce Island. Following the race, competitors and spectators are invited to attend the post-race picnic and awards ceremony on Four Tree Island starting at 12:30pm. Race registration is $25 per person through August 10, $30 thereafter, and includes the picnic. Spectators can join the picnic and awards for $20. Register online at www.roundislandregatta.com
