About Us
Located in the historic South End neighborhood of Portsmouth, the Wentworth-Gardner house is a classic example of Georgian architecture which overlooks the back channel of the Piscataqua River. The museum consists of two structures that date from the mid-eighteenth century: the 1760 Wentworth-Gardner House and the c. 1740 Warehouse.
The mission of the Wentworth-Gardner Historic House Association is to preserve and enhance its structures, collections, and grounds, and to contribute to the vitality of the community through education and outreach.
The Wentworth-Gardner House is also available for wedding photography and intimate ceremonies. Visit our website for more information!
