SOMERSWORTH and PORTSMOUTH -- Greater Seacoast Community Health is proud to announce that four of its providers have been named to the 2025 Top Doctors list in New Hampshire Magazine. Family physicians Joann Buonomano and Michael Thompson, as well as pediatricians Mitchell Pivor and Pamela Udomprasert, were named as Top Doctors in the magazine’s March/April issue, based on a survey conducted by Castle Connolly. All four have received the award annually for the past five years.
Greater Seacoast is a network of community health centers that includes Families First Health & Support Center in Portsmouth and Goodwin Community Health in Somersworth. Dr. Buonomano sees patients at both Families First and Goodwin. The other three physicians practice exclusively at Goodwin.
Dr. Joann Buonomano, Greater Seacoast’s Chief Medical Officer, is the founding core faculty member of the Tufts University School of Medicine/Portsmouth Regional Hospital family physician residency program. She attended medical school at Boston University School of Medicine. She completed her residency at Cape Fear Valley Hospital, and she received in her MBA from the University of Massachusetts in 2023.
Dr. Mitchell Pivor attended medical school at Tulane University of Medicine. He completed his residency at SUNY Upstate Medical Center, and he completed a fellowship at Boston Children’s Hospital in Nephrology.
Dr. Michael Thompson attended the University Massachusetts Medical School and completed his residency at the NH-Dartmouth Family Practice Residency Program. Dr. Thompson sees both primary care and prenatal patients at Goodwin.
Dr. Pamela Udomprasert has also been awarded with the Exceptional Women in Medicine Award six years in a row. Dr. Udomprasert attended medical school at SUNY Downstate College of Medicine in Brooklyn. She is a Diplomate of the American Board of Pediatrics and is a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics.
