Lighthouse Credit Union Presents Summer Salute: Celebrating 250 Years of American Music on July 2 - World Premiere Performance by Broadway Entertainer Nat Zegree to Benefit Veterans and Military Families

PORTSMOUTH— Lighthouse Credit Union and its Foundation is proud to present Summer Salute: Celebrating 250 Years of American Music on Thursday, July 2 at 7 p.m. at the historic Strawbery Banke Museum in Portsmouth. 

This special community event will feature acclaimed Broadway entertainer Nat Zegree performing the world premiere of 250 Years of American Music, a captivating musical journey through the songs, artists, and stories that have shaped America over the past two and a half centuries.

Summer Salute also marks the official launch of the Lighthouse Credit Union Foundation Veterans Fund, a new initiative dedicated to providing direct support to veterans and military families throughout New Hampshire and Maine.

Founded at the Portsmouth Naval Shipyard in 1936, Lighthouse Credit Union has proudly served military members, veterans, and their families for 90 years. The July 2 concert reflects the organization’s longstanding commitment to honoring those who have served while celebrating America’s rich musical heritage as the nation approaches its 250th anniversary.

The July 2 concert serves as the kickoff event for the seacoast’s broader 250th Extravaganza, sponsored by Wilcox Industries. The celebration continues on July 3 at Leary Field in Portsmouth, featuring a free full day of live entertainment beginning at 1:30 p.m. and culminating with a spectacular fireworks display at 9:15 p.m.

Proceeds from both events will support veteran-focused programs.
