Loyal Lab Electric & Generators launches The Rusty Fund to support NH Seacoast dog rescues

Somersworth electrical contractor launches charitable giving initiative supporting local dog rescues through every job completed

SOMERSWORTH — Loyal Lab Electric & Generators, a licensed electrical contracting company serving Dover, Portsmouth, and the NH Seacoast, has launched The Rusty Fund, a charitable initiative that donates a portion of every completed job to Pope Memorial Humane Society in Dover.

The fund donates $10 from every completed job and $100 from every generator installation directly to Pope Memorial Humane Society, one of the most established animal shelters in the Seacoast region.

The Rusty Fund is named after Rusty, a yellow Labrador who was by owner Eric Hope's side for 13 years through the early days of building the business. When Eric rebranded the company from Quality Electric to Loyal Lab Electric & Generators in late 2025, he wanted the company's values to extend beyond the work itself.

"Rusty showed up every single day with the same loyalty and steadiness," said Hope. "Naming the company after him felt right. Starting a fund in his honor felt like the next step. Pope Memorial does extraordinary work on a tight budget and they deserve more support than they get."

Pope Memorial Humane Society has served the greater Dover area for decades. They operate almost entirely on donations and the dedication of their staff and volunteers, putting on fundraising events throughout the year to find homes for animals in need and build a stronger community for the pets and people of the NH Seacoast. Every dollar they receive goes directly toward the animals in their care. They do extraordinary work on a tight budget and are one of the most trusted animal welfare organizations in the region. The Rusty Fund is active now. Every job Loyal Lab Electric completes in Dover, Portsmouth, Rochester, Somersworth, and across the NH Seacoast contributes to the fund. The first donation to Pope Memorial will be made at the end of Q2 2026.

Loyal Lab Electric & Generators is also planning a Rusty Fund presence at Apple Harvest Day in Dover this fall, where the team will be on site alongside Pope Memorial Humane Society.
