PORTSMOUTH— Nichinan, the modern Japanese restaurant located inside The Hotel Thaxter in downtown Portsmouth, has been recognized as one of Yankee Magazine’s Best of New England award winners for 2025.

Featured in the magazine’s highly anticipated Travel Guide issue, Nichinan was selected by editors for its exceptional cuisine, atmosphere, and the unique experience it offers to both locals and visitors.
