Recreative Moves to York, Maine
recreative + co., the branding, web design and photography studio founded by Meg Raiano in 2015, has moved from its longtime Kittery, Maine home to 298 York Street #2 in York Village, Maine. Our new space is of course, our studio, but also we’ll be adding a shop and gallery to the space. You’ll be able to walk in, purchase some stationery, and get a view of us doing our work right in the same place. We will also have a rotating exhibit of local art, focused primarily on photography and design.
The shop and gallery operate together, open to walk-ins from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. M-F.
The stationery shop will carry a small curated list of items: recreative's own stickers and merch, journals, pens and inks from independent makers, and a selection of photography and design books.
The gallery will rotate shows by local artists, mostly photographers, though other media are welcome. Each show opens with a public reception. The first exhibit is our CD, Meg Raiano's own photography, opening date TBD.
The studio itself keeps working as usual. recreative + co. handles brand identity, websites, and commercial and product photography for clients across New England and beyond. Its photography has earned a top finalist spot in the World Food Photography awards, gold and silver Muse Creative Awards in the Food & Beverage category, and its website for Wilder received a GDUSA award, among others. The move coincides with the launch of a rebuilt website, www.recreative.co.
